The Reliance Dividend (April 24)

Reliance Industries' board meets April 24 alongside Q4 FY26 results. The dividend recommendation — if any — will be announced at that meeting.

Reliance's track record: the company has consistently increased its annual dividend over the past several years. FY25 final dividend was ₹5.50 per share. Watch for an announcement on April 24 alongside the Q4 numbers.

To be eligible if Reliance declares a dividend on April 24: the record date will typically be set 10–15 days after the announcement (allowing settlement and register update). Check StockMirror Market Calendar for the confirmed record date once announced.

Why April Has So Many Dividends

April is one of the busiest months for dividends in India because:

  1. FY25-26 ends March 31 — companies finalise annual results in April
  2. Interim dividends paid mid-year often have Q4 (Jan–Mar) record dates in April as companies do year-end distributions before the annual results are complete
  3. Q4 board meetings (April 15–30) — boards approve Q4 results and recommend the final dividend in the same sitting
  4. AGM season follows in May–August, when final dividends are ratified by shareholders

The result: April is when both the last interim dividends of the year and the first wave of final dividend announcements happen simultaneously.

How to Calculate Your Ex-Date (T+1 Refresher)

Under T+1 settlement (live in India since January 2023):

Ex-date = Record date − 1 trading day

For April 2026 practical examples:

  • Record date Apr 22 (Monday) → Ex-date Apr 21 (Friday)
  • Record date Apr 23 (Tuesday) → Ex-date Apr 22 (Monday)
  • Record date Apr 30 (Thursday) → Ex-date Apr 29 (Wednesday)

You must own shares before the market close on the ex-date to receive the dividend.
